Arrrgh! El Presidente got the dates wrong! My presentation skills training is this week! Arrrgh! Arrrgh!
I have to prepare a presentation in advance on a non-technical topic. Any suggestions?
Posted to Apropos of nothing by Simon Brunning at September 06, 2005 03:53 PMSomething you know a bit about - which should narrow things down a bit. How's about "How to prepare and enjoy the perfect mojito" or "Carol Vordeman is a cnut!" or "Weiss bier and the art of a swift lunchtime half" or if it really has to be non-technical, "RPG programming".

You know quite a bit and your mum can help.
Or do something Political?

"Advanced pint-lifting and pretty-girl-watching" would make a fine topic.
"How to fall ass backwards into a new PC"?
Even though technology is involved, its the not main focus. Its more of a 'Steal this book' or 'How to win friends and influence people' type topic.

I'd start opening up to yourself about the reasons for this psychological barrier and how it helps define and maintain the status-quo of your life, and how it thus affects your personal developemnt.
Serously - that's how to overcome the fear.
