Can someone who understand women explain something to me? She asked us to guess her age. Chris went for the early twenties, I went for nineteen. Turns out I was right, but for for some reasion this seemed to offend her. Why?

Pick younger and suddenly they believe you picture them as incompetant and naive, pick older... and well you know what happens then. I usually go for 22, because it's a nice uncontoversial age.
Posted by: Chris on April 14, 2005 04:51 PMEveryone, not just women, goes through that stage when youngish of wanting to look older than they are. 19 is on the edge of that stage, but still in it I reckon. She wanted to look 'grown up' and you saw through it. That's why.
