And read Simonyi's original paper. If you're going to use the notation, at least use the real one ;-)

The original form doesn't look half so bad - it seems to involve prefixing the name with *semantic* type information rather than data type information. I don't think it's for me, though - I'd prefer not to abbreviate that kind of information. I'm quite happy with long names. Modern auto-completing IDEs make long names a *total* non issue, but even with simple text editors, I don't mind the extra typing if it results in more readable code.
