Bye, Mark

Mark 'the burger-flipper' Matthews just called to tell me that he's got another job. This is terrible! Who am I going to bait about VB and Hungarian notation now?

All the best, mate, and don't forget to tell me when the leaving do is...

Seriously, Mark and I do argue a lot, but it's from a position of mutual respect, and it's productive arguing. His technical skills are good, as are his design instincts, and he's a good trainer. He's a real asset to the team, and a bloody nice chap to boot, so he'll be missed.

Just don't tell him I said so. ;-)

I know - what are we going to do for flame-wars now? I can't be bothered to learn all the specific terminology to be that pedantic about, I don't think Tulna will argue quite as hard, Paul gets the last word by virtue of being El Presidente, and Dan calls everything a banana anyway. The art of technical bickering may well be dying...

It's sad to lose Mark, but I'm sure he'll find his new position no end of fun, as it sounds to be just exactly what he likes to do. All the best of luck to him!

I agree...it is very sad to see Mark go. He's a super nice guy and one not afraid to show his feminine side, which makes a refreshing change when you work with Simon ;-0

All the best Mark, here's to 5 day weeks once again!

Does Simon *have* a feminine side? If so, I'm worried, as he steadfastly asserts that "women are evil"...

OK, OK, this is all true - but the *official* line is still that he's a useless git and we're glad to see the back of him, OK?

And Tracey's quite right - I *don't* have a feminine side. I'm far too nice a person for that.

Good Luck Mark!
