Another blow to UK IT contractors

Am I glad that I'm a permie! What with the horrible job market and IR35, it's not easy being a contractor at the moment. And now this - Litigation frenzy driving IT contractors under.

I'm off to Halfords at lunchtime. One bike, one ladder, one bucket, one sponge, one squegy.

If I were not upon this stage a window cleaner I would be.

I just saw 2 jobs on jobserve for Contract Analyst programmers offering £20.00 per hour.

I might be pulling my 20 years of experience out of the IT market and into window cleaning.

Fucking idiots, pay peanuts, get monkeys.

Trouble is, the places will be filled. If you can get somone for £20 an hour, why pay more?

Why indeed? My usual answer is because it will cost significantly more than £20 an hour to fix the mistakes they will make.
