The not-so-young Turks

I'm off to Ozer for us tea. I'll have several large lumps of meat, please.

Opinions seem as mixed as the meze. I'll tell you what I think in the morning.

So what was it like then?

Hmmm. Well, the food was OK. Not *great*, but pretty good. (I *did* enjoy the mixed grill.) The service was OK, but not outstanding.

The beer was warm, and the house red was pretty nasty, I'm told.

But it was just a bit pricey, I must say - £40 odd per head. That wouldn't bother me had it been really good, but as it was, I can't see going back.

Every time I go to a restaurant I find myself converting the price to Australian dollars and comparing it to my favourite eaterie in Sydney (http://www.bestrestaurants.com.au/booking/select_rest.asp?Rest_ID=176).

Which if you're careful would be cheaper than Ozer and believe me when I tell its *good*.

Not to mention the huge variety of places in Manly where you can fill your belly with some fabulous food for less than $25 (that's ten of your English pounds) and take your own wine.

Can you tell that I'm pining?
