Heath Robinson

A couple of years ago, I went looking for a good Heath Robinson site, to illustrate my view of the failings of a design that we were working on. I didn't find anything.

I looked again this morning, and I found a little gem - W Heath Robinson's Art.

Some of my favourites:

We've all worked on (and perpetrated) this sort of thing, haven't we? ;-)

i found the site in question aswell but apparently due to copyright laws the site is unable to feature heath robinsons work. which is a pain cos im now intrigued.such a shame that all these people cannot share his talent but have to make do with the odd image in biographies. also, his name is not featured in artcyclopedia.com or tate.org.uk which i find interesting. how about you?

I too wandered into the site above and found it a real pain in the a*** because you can see all the wonderful titles but can't see the illustrations, anyone found any other sites?

The pictures were all up when I first visited, but they seem to have been removed since. A bit of a shame - but it's probably a copyright thing, in which case you probably won't find the pictures online anywhere.

If you can't be bothered to read the comments above *OR* to write a grammatical sentence, then I can't be bothered either.

Went to website by someone who was keen to promote W Heath Robinsons' work and it was stated that a company called Pollinger Limited (working on behalf of J C Robinson), said there was a breach of contract, so no illustrations were allowed to be shown. However, it is 60 years since W H Robinson's death, surely there are laws that can allow his work to be viewed.

fascinated by all Heath Robinson's Artwork.Like minded people in the North West of England should visit the Walker in Liverpool to see 50 originals. Any sites showing his work, or books available, I'd like to know.

It is a crying shame that Heath Robinson's sketches are unavailable due to copyright. To my mind they belong to the world as a memorial to his furtile imagination of the ridiculous. Simple tasks made difficult with the use of string and junk.
To his Trust, and or family, give us a break.

How sad that the greed shown by those with copyrights prevent thousands of people from enjoying a painting such as the cleaning of noah's arc. I have a copy of it which I purchased at an antique store, and cannot describe the feelings that I have every time that I look at it ! ! !
