This is getting out of hand. December the 12th now appears to be a combined Python/Django/TurboGears/Ruby/Rails/Java/Spring/Hibernate/the million other things you need to build a Java web app these days/Perl/Catalyst/Maypole/Groovy/Grails Christmas party, and Jez is trying to get the Geek Girls on board too. Though that may be just wishful thinking on his part. ;-)
So, we really need another name. Jez suggested London 2.0, which is just so zeitgeist. Me, I'm more London 0.9, but I'll go with it...

Let's just hope the Perl guys don't have a punch up.
It would now be rude not to invite everyone using PHP/Cake....
Sigh. *Naturally* the PHP types are more than welcome.
what about the zope guys?
Chris Withers, Seb Bacon, and so on would of course be very welcome, it goes without saying. I think they kind of fit in under the "Python" heading.
Perhaps it would be quicker to point out who *isn't* welcome:
* BNP members.
* KKK members.
* Daily Mail readers.
* Bigots of any persuasion, in fact.
* Commiters of genocide.
* Mass murderers of any kind, in fact.
* Carol Vorderman.
* VB programmers.
* That's it.
What about the RPG programmers? For my money they fall into the 'not welcome' category ;-)
And you haven't mentioned those of us who practise the dark art of making databases work either.
If Carol Vorderman isn't there, I'm going to stay at home and twiddle with my ASPs.
No burger flippers huh?
Well I'll be wearing my Java colours then.
Witha "VB6 Sucks My XXXX" caption on it just to make sure I'm let in.
Oh, and good job on trying to get Tulna, and even Katherine, along to the geek girls.
