Guess where *I* am?

I popped into a nice local pub, The Colliers Tup, on the way home this evening (first time this month - I'm working much too hard at the moment), only to find they have WiFi! Excellent! Nice fast link, too.

On the down side, this will cause me to drink myself to death. Worse, it will cause me to drink myself to death on expensive beer. But on the plus side, I can blog from the pub. How cool is that?

"How cool is that?"

At the risk of being booed off the page, I'd say that its a Large Value of Cool.

I thought your whole purpose in life was as a walking scientific investigation into the preservative aspects of excessive alcohol consumption?

In this part of the world they can't even spell wi-fi. Luckily the occassionally decent weather acts as a distraction from this lack of technology. And the beer's good.

I should take offence, unless having geek buddies with you at the pub doesn't count as "being-at-the-pub"???

There are two different things - going to the pub with people, and a quiet pint on the way home - essential for sanity. It's the latter that I've only managed to find time for once (so far) this month.
