Time to find a new bookshop

Waterstone's have sacked an employee for blogging. So much for respecting freedom of expression. Oh well, I prefer Blackwell's and Books etc anyway...

I hope El Presidente doesn't get any ideas.

I avoid blogging about work full-stop, always have done.
Shame really, my blog would be far more entertaining (assuming anyone thinks it's entertaining at all) if I did. :-)

I'm in the same boat but for a different reason. The bookshop I normally frequent, WordsWorth in Harvard Square, suddenly closed with only a day or two notice. They were one of the few stores where I could walk in and say, "I really liked [book] by [author], can you recommend anything else I might like?" They also always had discounts on O'Reilly books and I could always find something interesting. Oh well... I guess I don't have as much time to read as I used to, with the girls running around, but I still miss the shop.
