Primary School Carol Concerts

It was the girls' carol concert last night. What can I say? Well, if cultural sensitivity means putting an end to having to stand through an hour of kids singing about Jesus, off key, then I'm all for it.

The 'modern' carols were the worst. The traditional carols are at least, well, traditional, but the 'modern' ones were just plain embarrassing.

Still, I wasn't there for me, I was there for the girls.

Now I've just got to get through Freja's 'makeover' party on Saturday...

Ah, the joys pf parent-hood. School Plays, freezing cold sports events standing on the line trying to cheer whilst frozen stiff, Parents night... guess me and the other half had better be prepared. Might as well get her knocked up quick then and get it over with... so we can get to them being 16 asap and wonder how we ever thought we could have any control over em... Cos you know they will be up to all the same tricks as you were, and worse, you know it while they're doing it and think you don't know. All sounds terribly complicated. Bring it on...

Mark - you are sounding very broody...is there something you aren't telling us (or Katherine?)

Funny that, I thought it sounded quite the opposite :-)
