Excellent.

However, firefox has a persistent problem with not displaying images on any web site ct=reated with Microgit's tools.
This is the one thing that stops us using it more at home.
If they don't fix that one way or another, it will never get a decent market share.

Err, or perhaps *Microsoft* should fix *their* tools.

Me, if I find a page that only works with IE, I just don't go there again. Simple.

I'm far from being alone in this. Perhaps if Firefox gets enough of a market share, people will start having to build their sites to the standards.

Hmmm... nice idea but when those sites are Doonsbury or Dilbert, or other personal favourites, not going there again is _not_ "simple", and not going to happen.

You have to be practical about this - not everyone is an evangelist about it like you.

And people ARE going to revisit sites they like, and if one browser won't show it properly, people will use another browser, not stop visiting that page.

I read Doonsbury and Dilbert via Bloglines. See, simple!

Err, Dilbert looks fine on all of my machines. Even microsoft.com looks fine as well. Are you sure you haven't inadvertantly turned off the display of images Mark?

To the best of my knowledge Firefox will display *any* web page, it just may not look good if the HTML has been tweaked specifically for other browsers, like ie.

Oh, there are *some* sites that only work under IE. I've come across a site that uses JavaScript for navigation, for example, and that JavaScript only works in IE. Won't be going *there* again.

But you are right on the whole, Andy. There are vanishingly few sites that don't work at all under FireFox. Some just look a bit odd.

Mark, which sites don't work for you under FireFox?
