Amazing news from the forty-second parallel - Civilization IV will use Python as its scripting language!
My favourite game and my favourite language, together at last. This is just so cool...
Posted to Python by Simon Brunning at October 14, 2004 04:39 PMCiv3? Man, Civ2 was way better. Civ3 was too vague in its complexities. Civ3 should have been more incremental -- things like zones of influence and critical resources are cool, but the whole thing felt unnecessarily complex to me.

Posted by: Mark Matthews on October 15, 2004 01:26 PMCiv 3 was complex but after the first hour or two it's second nature. I can't even play Civ II anymore. Way too easy. I'd love to see another Alpha Centauri though, or, even better a game that covers both, build the ship and keep on going on both planets! It would be awesome.
