XFM

God, I hate XFM.

The problem isn't the music. The music isn't too bad at all, though the playlist is a little short, so it gets a bit repetitive.

No, the problem is all the bloody talking. The 'zany banter' between the records is bad enough, but the ads are driving me insane.

Funny thing is, I love Radio 4. So perhaps it isn't talking that I object to so much as asinine bollocks.

The problem is you don't like listening to "asinine bollocks". Talking it has always been one of your fortes IMHO ;-)

Not fair! Bollocks, yes, but never *asinine* bollocks.

But have you listened to Radio 1 or Capital recently? Compared to them XFM is a breath of fresh air. I probably wouldn't listen all day but the odd hour or so I find to be good for the soul.

Then again, if you think XFM is annoying and repetitive don't try Australian radio. It's a cultural wasteland.

When I lived within range, I used to enjoy listening to XFM. That was 3 years ago. It started going downhill when they took Zane Lowe on (he's now on Radio 1). His "cool" voice really grates.

It's when they start playing stuff like 50 cent that I really want to get at the radio with a hammer.

I just don't think the stuff like 50 cent fits with what they market themselves as, usually i can tollerate - barely - XFM but it has been getting really terrible of late.

Time to find a way to hook the iPod into the car radio/etc
