WHAT SERVICES CAN I OFFER PRIVATE CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGY I am a specialist in Brief Psychological Therapy. Brief Psychological Therapy is a psychological approach to helping people deal with distressing emotional problems and difficulties in life. The approach involves meeting on a number of occasions with a qualified clinical practitioner (Chartered Clinical Psychologist) with expertise and experience in dealing with such problems. Chartered Clinical Psychologists, through their training and experience are equipped with interventions known to be effective for many people in distress. I bring a wide range of expertise to my practice, which aims to help people cope better with emotional and psychological problems. I believe that everybody has the right to be treated as a unique individual and my practice reflects this. I select and design appropriate therapeutic approaches for each client, with the aims and goals of therapy being individually negotiated within a confidential therapeutic relationship. PUBLIC SECTOR CONSULTANCY Organisational consultancy can be of benefit to individuals, groups and teams of public sector organisations such as the NHS, Social Services and Education at times when rapid change, reconfigurations, reorganisations, mergers, de-mergers, partnership formation, single management of multi-agency teams, national curriculum, clinical governance, value for money, best value and risk management etc are driving the overt agenda. To individuals I can offer confidential sessions on role clarification and organisational dynamics, new strategies to cope with demands and organisational stress, executive coaching, mentoring and personal development options. To your team I can offer process facilitation, work reflection sessions, team review and evaluation, psychological approaches to interdisciplinary and multi-agency problems and conflict resolution strategies. To your Organisation I can offer psychological approaches to help with organisational conflict, strategies for dealing with post-merger culture clash and other pressures resulting from trying to implement major organisational changes. EXECUTIVE COACHING Executive coaching is defined as a negotiated relationship, which enables clients to take stock of their current work role and to help them identify new possibilities, to harness appropriate personal and organisational resources in order to enhance their own work performance. Executive coaching has been recognised as an effective way of delivering changes to the client's critical thinking and of promoting individual confidence and competencies.
